The Story Behind the Work
For most of my life I carried things I had never said out loud.
I learned how to survive in a way that looked, from the outside, like living. I adapted. I managed. I kept going.
At thirty-two I walked into Lewisham Police Station and said the words I had been carrying for years.
That moment changed everything. What followed was not just healing. It was the realisation that leaving survival is not the same as living.
